Working mainly in stoneware on the wheel but always exploring.
Jess makes an eclectic range of small batch pottery and loves to play with clay. Simple forms allow her to focus on the clay body itself whilst experimenting with texture and simple glazes.
Jess focuses on creating a collection of functional handmade pottery that people can collect and use on a daily basis at home.
Jess is forever exploring, trying any firing techniques she can get access from wood and soda, to raku and smoke and the best of all gas reduction.
This need to explore is reflected in the wide variety of decorative pots Jess has produced over the years. Having recently acquired her own electric kiln she is now focused on experimenting with new glazes and decorative styles that work in an oxidation atmosphere.
